Butterworth policing cluster task team officers have arrested a 51-year-old woman for allegedly dealing in drugs, Eastern Cape police said on Sunday.

She was allegedly found in possession of 62 Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R6200, spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said.

The woman was arrested at the old railway houses in Butterworth on Saturday. The arrest came as a result of police intelligence. She was expected to appear in the Butterworth Magistrates’ Court on Monday on a charge of dealing in drugs, Manatha said.
