Zambian striker Mwape Musonda is considering a move back to the Zambia Premier League after Orlando Pirates indicated that he will not be part of the club’s plan for next season.

Musonda was loaned out to Golden Arrows by Pirates last season to get game time at the KZN outfit.

The striker, who has another two years on his contract with the Buccaneers, trained with the Soweto giants at rand Stadium last month hoping to impress new coach Muhsin Ertugral, but was later asked to stop training.

“The club has indicated that I am not in the plans for the new season and that is understandable considering the issue of the number of foreign players at the club,” Musonda tells KickOff.com.

“I am currently training with Jazzy Queen’s (Harold Legodi) academy just to keep fit while waiting for a deal.

“If all fails here I will have to go back home because I really need to be playing.”
