The taxi driver tried to bribe officers with R500.

A taxi driver found out the hard way that bribery is not necessarily ‘the South African way’, reports Roodepoort Record.

According to Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar, Metro police officers arrested a taxi driver in Roodepoort this past Friday as his taxi was about to be towed for obstructing traffic. He then tried to bribe the officers with R500 for which he was arrested.
