The man sustained life-threatening injuries.

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when he was knocked over by a vehicle in Moreleta Park in the east of Pretoria on Sunday morning, reports Pretoria East Rekord.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the accident happened around 9am on De Villebois Mareuil Drive in Moreleta Park.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries,” he said.

“They worked tirelessly at the scene to stabilise the critically injured man. After he was placed on a ventilator and spinally immobilised they transported him to a specialised hospital.”

Botha said the occupants of the vehicle were traumatised, but unharmed.
