At least four people have sustained moderate to serious injuries after a collision between a truck and two vehicles on the N2 near KwaMashu, north of Durban, on Saturday afternoon, Northglen News reported.

According to reports by Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha, the cause of the crash was still being investigated.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the truck had overturned after impact; the road was obstructed with debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles consistent with that of a high impact collision.”

The injured people were examined and it was found that one person sustained serious injuries while three others escaped with minor injuries.

“Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for the care required. Exact details as to the cause of the crash are still speculative and will form part of the police investigation,” he said.
