A 19-year-old Durban boy, Thabo Cele has signed for Portugal’s second-tier league team, Real Sport Clube.

Cele, who is a product of the KZN Academy, was signed by the team after undergoing a few trials.

He left South Africa on Tuesday to begin his career in Portugal. Cele was discovered by scouts at the Durban Under-19 International Football

Tournament last year where he was among the top performers for the Durban based soccer academy.

The youngster said it was a realisation of a dream for him to have signed for a professional team in Europe.

Real Sport is the club where former Manchester United and Portugal midfielder, Nani started his career.
