Phakaaathi sources has revealed to the paper that Free State Stars have lost one of their key players Makhahleni Makhaula due to an injury in a pre-season friendly recently. 

Makhaula suffered a broken a leg while preparing for a fresh season with a club following ‎a sterling individual performance which made him a regular at the club last season.

“Having lost many of our key players in this transfer window, the team has lost another one in Makhaula. He won’t be able to play for months now after his leg was broken during a friendly match. He is using crutches to walk,”said the source.

“I hope he recovers very quickly, he was superb last season. I hope he will recover very quickly.”

Meanwhile, the source further revealed that the team is working very hard to assemble a squad that will be able to compete in the PSL after selling most of their players with the intention of selling a team, but the deal was later called off.
