The trial of four suspects who were arrested for the murder of four family members has been postponed at the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst said four suspects have been arrested recently in connection with the murder of an entire family in Rodora, Randfontein, Randfontein Herald reported.
The arrest was made by the West Rand Trio Task team, working with Lieutenant Colonel Gert Kruger from the Randfontein detective branch. The arrests came after an intensive investigation.
Monty MacCormack, 73, Kenny MacCormack, 42, Marietjie Meyer, 46, and Kayla Meyer, 9 were brutally murdered on their farm in early March this year.
All the victims allegedly sustained blunt force trauma.
The suspects appeared briefly in court where the case was postponed to August 18.
