South Africa’s Under-23 midfielder Keagan Dolly says they need to play as a team and take it one game at a time in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The Mamelodi Sundowns winger believes carrying the fighting spirit that helped them qualify for the Rio Olympics games to Brazil will help them win.

“We have to play normal football. We shouldn’t give our opponents too much respect, although we know Brazil are a good team. They have good individuals,” Dolly told DailySun.

“We should play the way we did when we qualified for the Olympics. We should take each game as it comes – focus on Brazil first. Once we overcome them, we can focus on other games.”

South Africa beat Brasilia Police Department 4-0 in a friendly match on Friday as they prepared for the Olympic Games.

They will begin their Olympics campaign with a match against hosts Brazil  at the Mane Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia on Thursday.
