Following Kaizer Chiefs’ Carling Black Label Cup win over Orlando Pirates,  Amakhosi coach Steve Komphela reserved special praises for new signings Lewis Macha and Sibusiso Khumalo.

Macha came on towards the end of the game, but was able to add his name on the score sheet, while Khumalo replaced Tsepo Masilela.

“For Macha, first goal, derby, first match. I am happy for him,” said Komphela.

“’Tower’ (Mathoho) as well, beautiful goal. I thought at half-time we should go to the dressing room with one or two goals. The second half as well, we had chances but we were kept in the game by the keeper as well.”

“First one we felt we know Tsepo and if we bring Sbu would you face a disaster? No. Sbu is equally capable and the games we played throughout pre-season he was there, not much difference in terms on how we as Kaizer Chiefs want to play and how he plays.”
