Pedestrian killed in Durban taxi crash

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

A pedestrian was killed in a collision involving a minibus taxi and a car on the N2 in the early hours of Monday morning.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said two people from the car were seriously injured and police detained the minibus taxi driver.

He said the accident happened shortly after midnight on ‎the N2 near the Queen Nandi Drive offramp.

“After the injured were examined, medics found a pedestrian under the taxi. Tragically he died before our arrival,” said Botha.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

Comment could not immediately be obtained from the police.
