Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Maritzburg United striker Ryan Moon.

Amakhosi coach Steve Komphela has welcomed Moon’s addition to his team.

“Ryan is one for the future. He will give us options as a striker and on the flanks,” Komphela told the club’s website.

“He played a few games for Maritzburg towards the end of last season and watching his play, he ticks all the boxes. He has strong qualities and with proper integration into the Chiefs way, he will bring value to the team.”

Furthermore, Amakhosi have also promoted 19-year-old defender Siyabonga Ngezana from their development structures.

“Siya is a product of our development structures,” explains Komphela. “We are happy with his progress and we are bringing him to the first team to feel the exact pressure. He is strong and has a good chance to develop into a fine player.

“Our scouting network and development structures are beginning to take shape. We are having a number of players from our development in the senior squad.”
