A memorial service in honour of race driver Gugu Zulu will take place on Tuesday at the Kyalami race track in Johannesburg. Gugu died last week Monday while attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
The popular racing driver and TV presenter died after suffering from “flu-like” symptoms while attempting to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. He was climbing with his wife Letshego as part of a 42-strong Trek4Mandela expedition to raise funds to supply sanitary pads to schoolgirls.
Zulu will be laid to rest on Thursday after a funeral service at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg.
